Lake Elsinore

Ronald Toth – PT

Graduate of Long Beach State University School of Physical Therapy in 1984. Trained in Spinal Rehabilitation through the McKenzie Institute. Specializes in Orthopedic and Spinal Rehabilitation with additional training in Industrial Rehabilitation, Pre-Employment Screening, and Ergonomic Analysis. Certified E.P.I.C. Lift Capacity Evaluator. Director of Rancho Physical Therapy, Lake Elsinore. Ron is the Regional Director for our Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Temecula – Temecula Parkway and Temecula – Ynez clinics.

Jennifer Lawrence – PT, DPT

Jennifer Lawrence began her career as a volunteer at St. Mary’s Medical Center where, it turns out, she worked with Ron Toth in the early 80’s. She was hired as an aide and worked as one until 1985 when she went to Cerritos College and earned her AS in Physical Therapy and her license as a Physical Therapy Assistant. She spent the next 14 years working in various hospitals and out patient clinics. After going back to college at Loma Linda University, she earned her MPT and her license as a Physical Therapist. While working 6 years in a hospital Outpatient Neuro setting and another 2 years in college, she earned the Doctor of Physical Therapy. Now Jennifer Lawrence is well versed in a wide variety of medical situations that require the skills of a Physical Therapist.

Jean Bellucci – OTR, CHT

Graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1981. Began specialization in Hand and Upper Extremity Rehabilitation at Brown University affiliated Rhode Island Hospital in 1985 under the tutelage of the orthopedic and plastic surgeons. Became a Board-Certified Hand Therapist in 1991. Recently relocated to southern California from the Boston area, where she worked as a hand therapist and Center Coordinator for Clinical Education at Metro West Medical Center; and most recently at Beth Israel Deaconess and New England Baptist, a specialty hospital in orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Member of the American Society of Hand Therapists.

Menifee

Heather Snyder – PT, DPT, OCS

Dr. Snyder graduated in 2003 from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in pre-physical therapy. She graduated in 2006 from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Chapman University. In 2006, she started working at Rancho Physical Therapy. In 2008, she became one of the first to complete the Rancho Physical Therapy Orthopaedic Residency. Dr. Snyder became a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist in July 2009. She has been the Team Physical Therapist and member of the Volunteer Sports Medicine Program at Vista Murrieta High School in Murrieta since 2013. She is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association and Residency Mentor for the Rancho Physical Therapy Orthopaedic Residency Program; with these credentials, Dr. Snyder has mentored several DPT students and orthopaedic residents and looks forward to the opportunity to mentor many more. As of 2015, she took over the role of Educational Director for the Rancho Physical Therapy Orthopaedic Residency Program. Dr. Snyder specializes in the treatment of orthopaedic conditions, TMJ, as well as vestibular disorders. In April 2017 she achieved a personal goal of becoming a Clinic Director for our Menifee location.

Jeanette Hess – PTA

Jeanette received her bachelors in Biology, from Concordia University, Irvine, in 2006. She then went on to pursue a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Loma Linda University’s School of Allied Health, graduating in 2010 with honors. She has experience working in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopedics, subacute skilled rehabilitation, and pediatrics. In her free time she enjoys being with her family, reading books, and expanding her physical therapy knowledge.

Rancho Cucamonga

Edwin Leung – PT, DPT

Edwin graduated from Western University of Health Sciences with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in August 2014. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California San Diego, with a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology in 2010. Edwin has outpatient orthopedics and sub-acute setting experience. Edwin was a student intern for Rancho Physical Therapy and was hired shortly after he graduated. Edwin completed the Rancho PT residency program in 2015 and became a board certified orthopedic specialist in 2016. Edwin was born in Hong Kong and came to America in 2002. He is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin Chinese.

Kimberly Massey – PT, DPT

Kimberly Massey was born in the Inland Empire. She attended CSU San Bernardino as a pre-physical therapy major in Kinesiology. Kimberly graduated Loma Linda university in 2011 as a Physical Therapist Assistant and worked for Rancho PT then decided to return to Loma Linda and further her knowledge by finishing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and graduated in June of 2015. Kimberly has been part of the Rancho physical Therapy family for quite some time, she was a student intern for Rancho Physical Therapy and was then hired as a Physical Therapist after taking the board exam.

Brigette Latourelle – PTA, ATC

Brigette Latourelle grew up in La Verne, California and attended the University of La Verne where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training while working with their sports teams. She was Board Certified as an Athletic Trainer in May 2012. She attended Loma Linda University’s Physical Therapy Assistant program and graduated in June of 2012. Brigette became Board Certified as a Physical Therapist Assistant in January 2013.

Fabiola Lugo, PTA

Fabiola Lugo grew up in Chino Hills, California. She attended Cal Poly Pomona and received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology while running cross country and track. She attended Cerritos College’s Physical Therapy Assistant program and graduated in May 2016. Fabiola was a student at Rancho Physical Therapy before being hired. She became Board Certified in July 2016. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Corona

Natalie Taylor – PT, DPT

Dr. Taylor graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with an Bachelors in Kinesiology- Exercise Science, Sports Medicine in 2005. She then went on to pursue her doctorate in Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University in 2011. Dr. Taylor has experience working with athletes at the youth, high school, collegiate, and professional level. In the early 2000’s she volunteered in the injury prevention program for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes minor league baseball team. She also has experience working in Home Health, Skilled Nursing, Acute Care Rehabilitation, and Outpatient Orthopedics. Dr. Taylor treats a wide variety of dysfunctions including post-operative conditions, sports and occupational injuries, vestibular impairments, and neurological disorders. She enjoys watching her kids participate in sports, being involved in her church ministry, and recreation with her family in Big Bear.

Brian Beltran – PT, DPT, LMT

Brian Beltran graduated from Loma Linda University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2017. He has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2014, and a licence Massage Therapist since 2011. Brian loves to spend time outdoors camping, bouldering, surfing, running and playing soccer. On his spare time Brian enjoys drinking coffee and reading a good book. Brian enjoys working as a Physical Therapist and is happy to be part of the Rancho PT family. He is also fluent in Spanish.

Nancy Mitchell – PTA

Nancy graduated from Allegheny College Community College with an Associates of Science Degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant in 2005. Nancy spent 11 years working in Long Term Care facilities and then transitioned into the outpatient care setting. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors and spends her time walking trails, cycling, boating and fishing.

Yvette Reyes – PTA

Yvette Reyes graduated from California State Long Beach in 1993 with her B.S. in Psychology. She then attended Cerritos College where she received her A.A. in 1996 for P.T.A. with honors. Yvette has primarily worked in the outpatient setting but also has experience with inpatient, skilled nursing facilities and home health rehabilitation. She has experience with a variety of diagnosis and treatment for Lymphedema, Vertigo(BPPV) and wound care. Yvette Is a credentialed Clinical Instructor through the A.P.T.A. and is fluent in Spanish.

Abbey Giummo – PTA

Abbey has been part of the Rancho Physical Therapy team since 2008 and fell in love with the profession. She graduated in 2015 from Stanbridge University with her Physical Therapy Assistant degree. She is certified in Kinesio taping. She enjoys volunteering as part of the medical staff for Chaparral High school football and has also volunteered as part of the medical staff at motocross events.

San Jacinto

Perris

Kyle Stone – PT, DPT

Dr. Stone received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from California Baptist University in 2013. He then graduated from Western University of Health Sciences with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016 and soon after joined the Rancho Physical Therapy team. Dr. Stone completed Rancho Physical Therapy’s Orthopaedic Residency Program in 2017. Along with working full-time in the clinic, Dr. Stone is also an adjunct professor for the Kinesiology Department at California Baptist University and works per diem at Redlands Community Hospital.

Frank Ewing – PTA

Steve Ewing attended Loma Linda University’s School of Allied Health where he obtained his Associate of Science degree in fall 2014. He is a military veteran and served in the Army. Mr. Ewing’s clinical experiences include skilled nursing, OP/Rehab, and inpatient environments. His teaching experience includes patient mobility and assistive devices for nursing students. He enjoys his hobby of model railroading in his free time. He also coached High School roller hockey for several years, as well as directed a recreational roller hockey league in the Temecula Valley.

Brian Smith, PT, MPT

Brian graduated from Loma Linda University in 2002, with a master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. He has primarily worked as an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist for most of his career and started working for Rancho Physical Therapy in 2016. Brian has always loved exercise and sports, particularly outdoor activities, and was even a professional baseball player at one point in his life. As a physical therapist, his goal is to teach his patients the importance of an increased awareness of posture and body mechanics, as well as activity and exercise performed correctly. Brian’s ultimate goal is to teach his patient’s independence with self-care management.

Palm Desert

Lace Lu – PT

Lace Lu graduated from Cebu Doctors’ University in 2011, with a Bachelors in Physical Therapy, and earned her license in the Philippines in 2012. She then moved California and has been working for Rancho Physical Therapy since 2015 starting as a PTLA until receiving her California license in 2016. She has since completed continuing education in current concepts in joint replacement, and is fluent in Tagalog, and Cebuano.

Tracy Chuck – PT, MPT

Tracy is a graduate of Ithaca College, School of Health Science Human Performance. She specializes in orthopedic injuries and rehabilitation with a special interest in manual therapy. Tracy has completed continuing education in Functional Manual Therapy, Spinal Mobilization/ Manipulation, Myofascial Release, Functional Gait Analysis and Fluid Golf. She is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She is an active member of the APTA and is currently the Director for Rancho Physical Therapy’s Palm Desert location.

Moreno Valley

Sergio Tejada – PTA

Sergio completed the physical therapist assistant program at Loma Linda University’s School of Allied Health and received his Associate of Science Degree in 2012. He obtained his license in January of 2013. Sergio has three years of experience in outpatient orthopedic rehab and speaks fluent Spanish and some Italian. His favorite hobby is coaching American football, which he has done for over 20 years.

Danielle McCree – PTA

Danielle McCree graduated from Mississippi State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences in 2014. She then graduated from Loma Linda University in 2016 with an Associate of Science Degree and obtained her PTA license in 2017. After, she worked as a travel PTA for one year. Along with working at Rancho Physical Therapy she is a club volleyball coach and works per diem at outpatient clinics and skilled nursing facilities in the Inland Empire area.

Faith Chang – PTA

Faith earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine (Physical Therapy Section), National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan in 1995. After one year of serving as an assistant instructor in the Department, she started her career in a different area, social work, for many years. Faith resumed her career in physical therapy until recently and completed her Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2017 as an honor student at North Central State College, Mansfield, Ohio. Her clinical experiences include treatments of orthopedic and pediatric outpatients and acute care inpatient’s with neurological and cardiopulmonary conditions. Faith likes to read books, watch movies, and spend time with her families and friends in the spare time.

Temecula Ynez

Michelle McClure – PT, DPTCCCE

Dr. McClure-Smith joined the Rancho Physical Therapy team in 2000. She began her education at California State University San Marcos with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy and Biology. She transferred to Loma Linda University where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences in 2007 and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009. Michelle successfully graduated from Rancho Physical Therapy’s Orthopedic Clinical Residency Program in 2010 and was Board Certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2011. She is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association and Residency Mentor for the Rancho Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency Program as well as Instructor for the Residency Program. She is also a volunteer as part of the medical staff for Chaparral High School Sports Medicine Program since 2005. Dr. McClure-Smith was the Director of Clinical Services for Rancho Physical Therapy’s Golden Triangle facility prior to its merge with the Murrieta location in March of 2014. She is now the Clinic Director of the Ynez facility, where she began her employment in 2000. She has a sub-specialty in vestibular disorders and is the current Center Coordinator of Clinical Education.

Jenna Dubiansky – PT, DPT

Dr. Dubiansky graduated in 2012 from San Diego State University with a B.S in Kinesiology with an emphasis in physical therapy. She graduated in 2017 from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of St. Augustine and soon after joined the Rancho Physical Therapy team. Jenna has completed several continuing education courses on the spine including functional analysis and management of the cervical spine, functional analysis and management of the lumbo-pelvic hip complex, and myofascial manipulation.

Cameron Purczynski – PTA

Cameron’s beginnings in physical therapy began as patient receiving treatment for multiple injuries sustained during his career as a professional off-road racer. Inspired by the recovery potential in physical therapy, he pursued a degree in Applied Exercise Science from Azusa Pacific University before completing his education as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Mohave Community College. In 2017 he joined the Rancho Physical Therapy team where he has been able to use his personal experience to help patients achieve the best outcomes for their rehabilitative goals.

Temecula Parkway

Julie Scira – PT, MPT

Julie attended Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles, CA and received her BS in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Health Sciences in 1997 and her master’s in physical therapy in 1999. Since then, she has focused on patient care in the outpatient orthopedic setting. She enjoys combining her manual therapy skills with effective modalities, exercise, and patient education to maximize patient success with their rehab programs. She is board certified as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and director of the Temecula Parkway office.

Jennifer Orr – PT, DPT

Jennifer graduated from Biola University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. She received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Loma Linda University in 2006, and is board certified as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and Sports Clinical Specialist. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association Orthopaedic and Sports sections. Jennifer specializes in working with local athletes of all ages and has provided support to the athletic training staff at Great Oak High School football games since 2011. While out of the office, Jennifer is typically swimming, cycling, or running to train for long-distance endurance events. She has completed multiple Ironman triathlons and is aspiring to compete in the trans-continental bike race (Race Across America) in 2020.

Emily Bartelt – PT, DPT

Emily graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin with her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology in 2009 and went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012 from the same university. Since that time, she has focused on treating patients in outpatient orthopedics with a “hands on” manual therapy approach. She has been working for Rancho Physical Therapy since 2014 and completed Rancho’s Orthopedic Clinical Residency Program in 2015 to further her education and clinical specialization. Emily became a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist in June 2016 and is also an orthopedic section member and credentialed clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association.

Aaron Mock – PTA

Aaron graduated with honors in 2016 from Loma Linda University’s Physical Therapist Assistant program and has been working at Rancho Physical Therapy since that time. Prior to becoming a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, Aaron received his bachelor’s degree in Communications from Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania in 1997 and enjoyed a successful career in television broadcasting. Aaron suffered a back injury followed by 6 weeks of physical therapy which inspired him to pursue a career change into the field of physical therapy. Aaron is a former collegiate baseball player and cross-country runner. In his spare time, Aaron is a sports enthusiast and an avid runner, having completed 3 full marathons.

Stephen Martinez – PTA

Stephen graduated from Concorde College in 2016 with a Physical Therapist assistant degree. He moved back home to the local area from Virginia after several years of military service. He has since concentrated on orthopedic manual therapy to treat the “root-cause” of a patient’s problem by utilizing biomechanical assessments and helping people move better. Stephen believes that patient education is the key to treatment and this is what leads to superior outcomes. He has since taken many continuing education courses all over the nation. His clinical interests include neck pain, back pain, knee pain, ankle pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, post-surgical pain, fall and balance prevention. He enjoys being outside, weightlifiting, and mountain biking in his spare time.

Murrieta East

Angela M. Meichtry – PTA

Angie graduated from St. Mary’s college in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science. She went on to pursue her Physical Therapy Assistant career in 1994. She has experience in the outpatient orthopedics as well as inpatient rehabilitation. She has been part of the Rancho Physical Therapy staff since 2007, specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine rehabilitation, especially soccer and golf.

Marianna Maxwell – PT, DPT, Clinic Director

Dr. Maxwell graduated in 2007 from UCLA with a B.A. in Psychology. She graduated in 2010 from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Loma Linda University. She has been working for Rancho Physical Therapy since 2004, but began working for the company as a physical therapist in 2010. In 2011 she completed Rancho’s orthopedic residency program. She was Board Certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2012. Dr. Maxwell is a credentialed clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association, and is also a Residency Mentor for the Rancho Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency Program. She has been a volunteer on the medical staff of Temecula Valley High School since 2012; prior to this she volunteered at both Chaparral and Great Oak High Schools. In addition to orthopedics, Dr. Maxwell specializes in vestibular disorders. She is the Director of the East Murrieta clinic.

Murrieta

Weston Smith – PT, DPT, Director of Operations

Dr. Smith graduated in 1996 from Loma Linda University with an A.S. from the Physical Therapist Assistant program. He earned a B.S. in Health Sciences in 1998 and completed a Progressive Master’s in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2000. He graduated from the Post-Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Loma Linda University in March 2002. Dr. Smith is a Diplomat of the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and has been Board Certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist since 2003. He is a specialist in the treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries, with an emphasis on the throwing athlete. He is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. Dr. Smith is an instructor for Rancho Physical Therapy’s Orthopedic Residency Program. He has been the Team Physical Therapist at Chaparral High School in Temecula since 1999. Dr. Smith is the Director of Operations for Rancho Physical Therapy.

Brittany Fox – PT, DPT

Dr. Fox received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University in 2007. She graduated from Chapman University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010. She went on to complete a year-long Rancho Physical Therapy Orthopedic Clinical Residency Program in 2011 and became Board Certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2012. She is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association and Residency Mentor for the Rancho Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency Program. Dr. Fox is the Assistant Director in the Murrieta Clinic and has been the Team Physical Therapist and member of the Volunteer Sports Medicine Program at Vista Murrieta High School in Murrieta since 2013.

Randy Ice – PT

Director of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation at Rancho Physical Therapy. Currently, over 46 years of experience in Physical Therapy focusing specifically in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. Graduated from USC Physical Therapy program with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1971. Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital (1972 – 1979), Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital (1979 – 1984) and owner Lynwood Physical Therapy and SCOR Physical Therapy (1984 – 1990). Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation at Rancho Physical Therapy, Murrieta since 1991. Past clinical professor for the Professional Physical Therapy Program of the University of Southern California and Mount St. Mary’s College. Nationally recognized as an expert in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation with over fifty articles published in medical and peer reviewed journals. Clinical Coordinator, Vintage Medical Group in Murrieta, a bioidentical hormone replacement practice since 2003. Erin Skrettingland – PT, DPT

Dr. Skrettingland doesn’t have the typical background of a physical therapist. She finished her B.S. in Business and Administration with the University of Phoenix in 2004 after living abroad in Norway for 4 years, but worked in the fitness industry since 1997, where she taught and still teaches various fitness classes including: yoga, Pilates, weightlifting, spinning, etc. She is an active Marathon runner (with a PR of a 3:01:18 in the full marathon). She became interested in physical therapy after a couple rounds of therapy she experienced in order to continue running at her desired level. She went back to school for her prerequisites for PT school and graduated in 2016 from Loma Linda University as a Board Certified Doctor of Physical Therapy. She is highly involved in the local running community and is very comfortable with running evaluations and rehab. She is also comfortable with treating vestibular patients. She completed an orthopedic residency in 2017 and earned her credentials for being an Orthopedic Certified Specialist.

Michael Tully – PT, DPT

Dr. Tully received his received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2014. He received his doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2017. In his final year of Physical therapy school he co-founded a health care based non-profit organization, Trek Coalition, which aims to provide health care to communities in need. He is currently enrolled in a post-professional residency focused in outpatient orthopedics and is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association.

Kaelan Ellis – PT, DPT

Dr. Ellis got his Bachelor of Arts in Personal Health and Development from the University of Redlands in 2015 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver, CO in 2018. He is currently enrolled in a post-doctorate residency program in order to specialize in Orthopedics and further his clinical skills. Prior to working as a Physical Therapist he was a personal trainer and his personal interests include weight training, martial arts, music, and enjoying the outdoors.

Kerry L. Whittaker – BS, PTA

Kerry has been a part of the Rancho Physical Therapy team since 2000. She graduated with Honors in 2005 from Cerritos College with an Associates of Arts degree from the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Since 2012, she has been a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2010 from California State University- San Marcos. Kerry is currently a member of the Volunteer Sports Medicine Program at Chaparral High School in Temecula since 2000 and team Physical Therapist Assistant as of 2005.

Jamie Veenstra – PTA, ATC, CPI

Jamie graduated in 2000 from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education, with an emphasis in athletic training. She earned her athletic training certification in 2003. Jamie went on to pursue her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Cerritos College and to receive her license as a PTA in 2006. In May 2008, she completed a Pilates certification course, with the emphasis in Pilates for rehabilitation from Polestar Pilates Education. Jamie joined the team at Rancho Physical Therapy in July 2009.

Tom Cook – PTA

Tom graduated in 2012 from the Loma Linda University Physical Therapy Assistant program. He received his PTA license in early 2013, and soon after joined the Rancho Physical Therapy team. Tom has also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in digital media arts/music and served for four years as a musician in the United States Marine Corps band.

Kayli Ryan – PTA

Kayli Ryan graduated in 2012 from California State University of San Marcos with a bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. In 2012 Kayli earned a Kinesio Taping certification and taped athletes at events such as the Rock N Roll marathon. Kayli went on to earn her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from San Diego Mesa College in 2016 and started working with Rancho Physical Therapy soon after.

Elizabeth Royer – MA, CCC-SLP

Elizabeth graduated in 2009 from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Communicative Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Linguistics. She graduated in 2011 with a M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from San Diego State University. She has diagnostic and treatment experience with pediatric and adult populations with a variety of speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, voice, swallowing, feeding and social communication delays and disorders. She also has experience assessing and implementing use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices for both the adult and pediatric patient. She has been trained and certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment program (LSVT LOUD). Elizabeth also has been trained in Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT): Technique.

Beth Yun – SLPA

Beth graduated in 2016 from Chemeketa Community College with a dual A.A. as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant and in child development. She has treatment experience with pediatric and adult populations with a variety of speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, and social communication delays and disorders. She also has experience implementing use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices for both the adult and pediatric patient. She also has Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) training.

Jenna Pellegrini – MS, CCC-SLP

Jenna graduated in 2006 from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Italian Studies, followed by an M.A. in Italian Studies in 2007 and several years of teaching abroad and in the States. Wishing to apply her language teaching skills to helping people communicate more effectively, Jenna then returned to school and completed her M.S. in Speech Language Pathology at Purdue University in 2012. Jenna has worked in both outpatient and inpatient environments, diagnosing and treating pediatric and adult populations with a variety of speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders. She was part of an Autism diagnostic team at Kaiser Permanente Riverside 2013-2015. She has been trained and certified in the intensive, evidence-based Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT LOUD) and SPEAK OUT! programs for voice therapy for Parkinson’s Disease. Recent continuing education credits have been completed in cognitive-linguistic therapy, executive function disorders, cleft palate and resonance, treatments for dysphagia, early language intervention, and increasing communication breadth with AAC devices.

Jean Bellucci – OTR, CHT

Jean graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1981. She began specialization in Hand and Upper Extremity Rehabilitation at Brown University affiliated Rhode Island Hospital in 1985 under the tutelage of the hand orthopedic and plastic surgeons. Jean became a Board-Certified Hand Therapist in 1991. She relocated to southern California in 2013 from the Boston area, where she worked as a hand therapist and Center Coordinator for Clinical Education at Metro West Medical Center; and at Beth Israel Deaconess and New England Baptist, a specialty hospital in orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Jean joined Rancho Physical Therapy in 2013. She is part of the Hand Therapy program in Murrieta and Lake Elsinore, and her special interests are in post-operative rehabilitation and splinting. Jean is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists.

Mikayla Danforth – COTA/L

Began her career in the medical field primarily in skilled nursing, where she became interested in the rehab field. She graduated from Stanbridge University in 2015 with an Associate Degree in Occupational Sciences and Cum Laude Honors. Upon graduating, she worked for inpatient services specializing in orthopedic post-operative rehabilitation and neurological re-education before coming on board with Rancho PT, fulfilling her desire to work specifically with upper extremity rehabilitation.

Wayne Chase – OT/L, CHT

Wayne earned a bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California in 1987. He became a Certified Hand Therapist in 1994. He has worked extensively in the field of hand rehabilitation as a clinician, director, consultant and mentor. He is experienced in all phases of hand management from post-operative wound care to preparing patients for return to work and/or their previous lifestyle. Professional memberships include the American Society of Hand Therapists. He speaks, reads and writes fluent Spanish, so that he can better serve the Latin population in this area. He loves the outdoors and is active in family activities, the community and the Boy Scouts.

Riverside East

Melissa Ap – PT, DPT

Melissa is a graduate of Loma Linda University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. She grew up overseas but returned to US for undergraduate studies at Pacific Union College in Napa, CA. Melissa completed Loma Linda University’s combined Bachelor of Health Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy with honors in 2017. Melissa has experience working in outpatient orthopedics and skilled nursing facilities.

Sergio Tejada – PTA

Sergio completed the physical therapist assistant program at Loma Linda University’s School of Allied Health and received his Associate of Science Degree in 2012. He obtained his license in January of 2013. Sergio has three years of experience in outpatient orthopedic rehab and speaks fluent Spanish and some Italian. His favorite hobby is coaching American football, which he has done for over 20 years.

Cassandra Willis – PTA

Cassandra earned an associate of arts degree with honors in the field of Physical Therapist Assistant from Loma Linda University in 2015. Upon graduation, she began working in an outpatient setting at Rancho Physical Therapy as a floater with 9 offices that she covered. She has since found a permanent home at the Riverside East clinic. She enjoys working with the variety of patients that are encountered in a clinical setting.

Victorville

Shelley L. Wells-Tworek – DPT

Shelley is a graduate of Chapman University with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2004. She received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology also from Chapman University in 2001. She continued her affiliation with Chapman University post-graduation as an Adjunct Professor with the Victor Valley Campus. She specializes in outpatient orthopedic injuries and rehabilitation with special interest in sports rehabilitation and return to sport conditioning.

Brian Opdenhoff – PT

Brian graduated from Angeles University Foundation with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy in 2013. He enjoys working in the orthopedic setting and has had prior internship experiences in orthopedic hospitals and sports clinics. Currently he is planning to pursue higher education and has a special interest in sports rehabilitation. Brian lives an active lifestyle which includes hiking, power lifting, and running. He is also fluent in English and Tagalog.

Paulo Leufroy – DPT

Paulo was born in Los Angeles but spent most of his life in the High Desert. After graduating from Cal State University San Bernardino with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2013, he went on to complete his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine in San Diego County on December 2016. Although he is a recent graduate, Paulo has had extensive clinical experiences with Therapeutic Exercise, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Acute Care Hospitals, Workers Compensation, and Outpatient Orthopedics. Paulo has also taken advanced course work in evaluation, assessment, and treatment of the spine and pelvis and hopes to complete his Manual Therapy Certification in the near future. Paulo is proficient in speaking Spanish and enjoys living an active lifestyle during his free time.

Kari Costello – PTA

Kari graduated from Victor Valley College with her Associate of Science in 1991. She attended Cerritos College where she received an AA as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 1993. Kari has primarily worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting, but also has experience in inpatient treatment, wound care, oncology, and aquatics.

Aaron Ortega – PTA

Aaron was born and raised in Apple Valley, Ca. For his undergraduate studies, he studied at the University of Redlands where he received his B.S. in Biology in 2013. During his undergrad studies he developed a keen interest in helping others and human anatomy which led him to pursue a career in the physical therapy. Recently he attended and completed the PTA program at Loma Linda University with an interest in orthopaedic settings. Aaron enjoys fitness, travel, and golf in his free time.

Fallbrook

Christopher Kaplan – PT, DPT

Having earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Montana State University and a Master of Science Degree from Colorado State University, Christopher relocated to the San Diego area in 2012. There he returned to school at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Christopher specializes in orthopedics and manual therapy and has treated patients from pediatrics to geriatrics with a variety of impairments including musculoskeletal injuries, neuromuscular and vestibular impairments, among others. Chris has been with Rancho Physical Therapy since December 2016 and currently serves as the Director of the Fallbrook clinic. In his free time, Chris enjoys hiking, biking, skiing/snowboarding, camping and water activities.

San Marcos

Ben Kurtz – PT, DPT

Ben graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2007 with a degree in Business Economics before a back injury led him to a physical therapy clinic. After two years of hard work and rehab, Ben fell in love with physical therapy and decided to return to school to pursue a career helping others return from injury just as his therapists did for him. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014 from The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, California. He has worked in outpatient orthopedics for the last three years and is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner.

Oceanside

Meagan Andrew – PT, DPT, ATC

Meagan graduated from San Diego State University (SDSU) in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training (ATC). She later received her Master of Arts from SDSU in 2012. Meagan worked as an ATC at the University level with athletes from multiple sport backgrounds. It was there where she realized that she wanted to pursue a career in rehabilitation in an orthopedic setting. She graduated from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, CA in April 2016, earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree. In school, she received and completed training in the manual therapy courses available at school. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association Orthopedic Section.

Katie Scully – PT, DPT

Dr. Scully graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Business. While at UConn, she was also a member and captain of their Division I Field Hockey Team, in which she made seasonal Big East and National Tournament appearances. In 2014, Katie graduated from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She has worked in outpatient settings as well as inpatient and skilled nursing settings. Katie is also a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine since 2011.

Kallie Wikman – PT, DPT

Kallie Wikman PT, DPT received his BS degree in Exercise Physiology at CSU Chico. During his time there he attended 2 summer internships at NASA in Houston, Texas working with isokinetic strength data in relation to all-cause mortality and in his final year of college conducted research that was accepted for publication and presentation at the International Society for Biomechanics in Sports conference in Taipei, Taiwan. Following graduation, he spent 2 years at an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic assisting with patient exercise and progression before being accepted into physical therapy school. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences. His past clinical experiences have aided in directing Kallie towards his passion for Orthopedics. He has taken advanced courses in evaluation and manipulation of cranio-facial, cervical, upper thoracic, pelvic, lumbar, and functional analysis of the lumbo-pelvic-hip complex. He thrives on working with patients to meet their goals and through his experiences as a swim coach, swim instructor, and water polo player as he considers his patients a part of his team. On his days off he enjoys rock climbing, surfing, playing board games, and adventuring outside.
